FoodMate Score for menu items is our estimate based on a typical recipe: chains only publish macros. As in the app, items under 250 kcal are not scored. How the FoodMate Score works

Source: calorie calculator on teremok.ru, macros per serving; checked in September 2026; photos from the same site.

What to order if you are losing weight

If you want a blin, choose the small ones: the small blin with mushrooms is 306 kcal, with ham and cheese 350, with chicken and potatoes 408 kcal and 18.1 g of protein. Almost all the large filled blini are over 500 kcal.

The lightest items on the menu are the lenten vinaigrette (129 kcal), chicken noodle soup with meatballs (164 kcal) and okroshka (190 kcal). For breakfast the omelette with tomatoes, ham and cheese works well: 300 kcal and 19.2 g of protein.

Where the calories hide

The most caloric blini are the Carbonara (990 kcal) and the Ilya Muromets (958 kcal), followed by the Meat Bogatyr, the Julienne and the Chicken Bogatyr, all over 800. Any of them is almost half of a 2000 kcal day.

Some things are less obvious. The oatmeal is 506 kcal, more than a blin with red caviar (493 kcal). The Russian Caesar salad weighs only 135 g but gives 503 kcal, as much as a blin with sour cream. The Guryev dessert with condensed milk is 674 kcal. Sweet blini start at 331 kcal (with sugar) and go up to 636 (Vatrushka).

Where to get more protein

The most protein is in the Chicken Bogatyr (46 g) and Julienne (45 g) blini, but both are over 800 kcal. A better ratio comes from the cold beetroot soup with chicken, 16.8 g of protein for 205 kcal, the trout soup, 13.2 g for 212 kcal, and buckwheat with ham and cheese, 20.7 g for 392 kcal.

Lunch under 600 kcal

  • Chicken noodle soup with meatballs and a small blin with chicken and potatoes: 572 kcal and 30.9 g of protein.
  • Cold beetroot soup with chicken and buckwheat with ham and cheese: 597 kcal and 37.5 g of protein.
  • Teremok borscht and a small blin with ham and cheese: 590 kcal.

About the FoodMate Score

The best score on the menu goes to buckwheat with cabbage and egg, 72: grain, vegetables and protein in one portion. Buckwheat with ham and cheese gets 57, the cheese cream soup 54, pelmeni 53. Savoury blini score 22-36, sweet ones 1-3: they are almost only flour, sugar and fat. Light soups and salads are not scored, since the app does not score anything under 250 kcal.
