FoodMate Score of the food
This is a score for the food on its own, by its composition per 100 g, using the same formula the app applies to a meal. On a plate with other foods the result will differ: buckwheat with vegetables scores higher than buckwheat alone.

How many calories are in strawberries
Strawberries have 33 kcal per 100 g: about 7.7 g of carbs, 2 g of fiber and almost no fat or protein. A cup weighs about 150 g and gives 50 kcal, a 250 g punnet 83. One large berry weighs 12-20 g and is worth 4-7 kcal, a small garden one 1-2 kcal. Wild strawberries and garden strawberries are the same in calories.
Strawberries with cream, sugar and as jam
Strawberries themselves are almost calorie-free; cream and sugar add the calories. A cup of strawberries with 50 ml of 10% cream is about 110 kcal, with whipped cream from a can 130-150. A teaspoon of sugar adds 28. Strawberry jam is a different food: about 270 kcal per 100 g, a tablespoon 54 kcal, like a whole cup of fresh berries.
Frozen strawberries
Freezing does not change the calories: frozen unsweetened strawberries are the same 33 kcal per 100 g. Vitamin C holds up fairly well in freezing. Frozen berries are handy for smoothies and porridge in winter, but check the pack: sometimes they are coated in sugar.
Strawberries for weight loss
A cup of strawberries gives more than a day of vitamin C for 50 kcal. It is one of the best desserts in a deficit: sweet, lots of volume and almost no calories. Berries go well with cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. Some people are allergic to strawberries.
How to count your serving
Weigh the hulled berries and multiply by 0.33, counting cream and sugar separately. If the strawberries are in a dessert or with cottage cheese, take a photo in MyFoodMate AI and the app counts everything together.
