Food photos are needed to work out what is on your plate. Here is what happens to them next.
In the app
The photo an analysis was made from is stored together with the entry in your diary. That way you can open the entry a week later, look at the plate and check that everything was counted correctly.
We do not publish your photos, share them with advertising networks or use them for advertising. In anonymised form, photos help improve recognition, with no connection to you or your diary.
There is currently no setting to stop storing photos. If you would rather not send pictures, log your food in words or manually: it works just as well.
In the demo on the site
A photo you upload to the demo on the site's home page is not stored anywhere: it is sent for analysis, and nothing of it remains after the response.
Chats with the nutritionist
If you sent the nutritionist photos or voice messages in the chat, the files themselves are not kept: only the nutritionist's reply about them remains. Old conversations are deleted automatically over time.
If you delete your account
Your profile, diary and all other data are deleted immediately. Food photos are unlinked from your profile and kept only in anonymised form. More in Exporting and deleting your data and in the privacy policy.
