Progress and weight
Weekly averages

Your body works in weeks, not days. That is why the main figure on the "Progress" screen is the average, not the result of a single day.
Why
Calories on any one day always jump around: a holiday, a workout, travel, a colleague's birthday. A weekly average smooths out these jumps and shows the real trend, and that is what tells you whether you are moving towards your goal. Plus or minus 200 kcal on a single day is normal.
How to read the Progress screen
- The calorie chart for 7 or 30 days. The line on the chart is your target, with the average for the period shown next to it. Single days above or below the line are fine; look at the average.
- Average macros against your target: how much protein, fat and carbs you get on average compared with your target.
- FoodMate Score by day: a rating of what you ate. Days that are not rated are skipped.
- What to improve: short tips for the week or the month based on your entries.
A steady gap two or three weeks in a row is a reason to think about your target. A single day is not.
Missed daysA missed day is not counted as zero: the average is taken over the days with entries. Otherwise a gap would look like fasting.
When your target adjusts itselfIf you log food and weight regularly, after a few weeks the app may suggest adjusting your target based on your real data.
