Editing portion weights

A photo analysis is a good first estimate, but grams are what the model sees least well. Oil inside, sauce under the side dish, a portion in a deep bowl: all of this is quicker to fix by hand in a couple of seconds than to guess from a picture.
Where to edit grams
- Right after the analysis, on the result screen, before you tap "Add to diary".
- Later, by opening the entry in your diary. It has the same ingredients and the same controls.
- From the chat with the bot: if you sent the photo straight to the chat, the analysis card has an "Edit" button that opens the entry in the app.
The whole dish or one ingredient
Every ingredient has its own counter with "-" and "+", and you can also type the number in. If only the buckwheat weight is wrong and the cutlet was counted correctly, change just the buckwheat.
If the whole portion is off, the "Dish weight" field is easier: it rescales every ingredient proportionally. Say the analysis decided the plate held 300 g but you weighed 420 g: enter 420, and all the ingredients grow by the same proportion.
Add, remove, correct nutrition
Tap an ingredient to open its card. There you can:
- correct the nutrition facts, per portion or per 100 g, for example from a package label;
- remove an ingredient if the model saw something that was not on the plate;
- add an ingredient the photo cannot show: oil, sauce, sugar in tea. Just type the name, for example "rye bread", and the weight, and the nutrition is filled in automatically. If the product is not recognised, enter the numbers yourself.

Why it is worth doing
The most common analysis errors are large portions and fat you cannot see: oil in the pan, mayonnaise in a salad, cream in a sauce. A single correction usually changes the total more than anything else: if you know exactly how much you ate, enter it.
