Several dishes in one photo

Updated October 2, 2026

You do not have to photograph every plate separately. If the photo shows soup, a main course and a salad, the app sees them as one meal made up of several dishes and counts each one on its own.

What it looks like

After the analysis you will see a heading like "Meal · 3 dishes". Each dish has its own ingredients, grams and nutrition, with the total for the whole meal at the bottom. You can open any dish and correct it: rename it, change the grams, remove an ingredient that should not be there. How to do that is covered in Editing portion weights.

If one of the dishes should not be there, for example someone else's plate got into the shot, open its ingredients and remove the extra ones before saving.

Several photos at once

You can send the bot several photos in one message, or as an album in Telegram. They are analysed together as one meal, which is handy when the main course and the soup were at opposite ends of the table. Up to eight photos are analysed at a time, and it counts as one analysis.

When it is better to shoot separately

  • Dishes hide each other. A plate behind a plate, a deep bowl behind a flat one: whatever cannot be seen will not be counted.
  • A big shared table. If you did not eat everything on the table, photograph your plate rather than the whole spread. Otherwise the whole group's food ends up in your diary.
  • Meals at different times. Breakfast and lunch are two separate meals, and it is worth photographing each at its own time.
Logging a whole day at onceIf you describe in words what you ate over a day or several days, the app sorts the dishes into meals and dates by itself: "pasta for dinner yesterday, omelette for breakfast today". Before saving you will see where everything went and can correct it.
