Weight log

Updated October 2, 2026

Weight is the most visible and the most misleading number. In a single day it can jump by 1-2 kg just from water, salt and last night's dinner. So it is not each measurement that matters but where the line goes over a few weeks.

How to log your weight

  • On the main screen there is a "Weight" card with a "Log" button.
  • Or open Profile → Weight and log and tap "Add a measurement".

You can pick a date if you weighed yourself on another day. There is one measurement per day: logging your weight a second time on the same day replaces the first.

How often to weigh yourself

Once a week is enough, or several times a week if you want a more detailed picture. What matters is keeping the conditions the same: in the morning, on an empty stomach, after the bathroom, in the same clothes or none. That way there is less noise in the data.

Why your weight jumpsA salty dinner, a workout, poor sleep, your cycle: all of these make the body hold water, and in the morning the scales show 0.5-1.5 kg more. It is not fat, and the extra goes within a couple of days. Look at the direction over 2-3 weeks, not at a single morning.

What the weight tracker shows

The "Weight tracker" shows your current weight, the change over the chosen period and the history of all measurements. You can view the chart for 7, 30 or 90 days or for all time. It appears from your second measurement: one point cannot show a trend.

Target weight

You set your target weight in the same place. It is your reference point: it is shown next to your current weight and helps you see how far there is to go. On its own it does not change your calorie target; that is set by your goal and pace. More in How your daily target is calculated.

How measurements affect your target

Your latest measurement becomes the weight your target is calculated from. The target itself is recalculated when you change your goal, activity or details. And if you log food and weight regularly, after a few weeks the app may suggest adjusting it based on your real data; see Recalculating your target.
